- Because seu, sua, seus, suas have multiple meanings, these days it is very common to express hs/her/thir by contracting DE with ele, ela, eles, elas to get: dele, dela, deles, delas: é o filho dele (it is his son); é a sobrinha dela (it is her niece); é o irmão delas (he is their [fem.] brother, etc.
